Effects of the Coal Famine
Skegness in Darkness
Owing to the difficulty in obtaining coal the Skegness Gas Company have been unable to make their usual supply of gas, and in consequence the streets of the town have been in darkness for several nights.
Lord Scarbrough’s agent offered the company the use of some stored coal, otherwise Skegnss would have been in darkness during the whole of the Christmas period.
