Fire Brigade Practice and Hydrant Tests

On Saturday afternoon last there was a full brigade practice, and the hydrants at Sea View, near Lady Scarbrough’s Home, Roman Bank, North and South Parades, High Street and the Station end of Lumley Road were examined and found to be in working order.
These periodical practices and tests of hydrants are of the utmost importance, for only by such means is efficiency maintained, and the brigade ready for emergencies.
