AN UNPLEASANT NIGHT EXPERIENCE IN THE GALE
Two young men, natives of Skegness, left London by the night mail on Tuesday for the purpose of spending Christmas with their friends at Skegness.
They arrived at Burgh station about four o’clock in the morning where a vehicle was awaiting them to convey them to their destination.
The night was dark and a terrific gale was raging at the time.
They had not gone far on the road before a gush of wind blew their top hats into an adjoining field where they had great difficulty in finding them in the darkness of the night.
After a time they recovered them and proceeded on their journey, but it must have proved rather an unpleasant experience for the commencement of the Christmas Holidays.
