Sudden Death at Skegness Rifle Camp

The sudden death of Captain W Harrison, of the Rotherham Rifle Volunteers, and Mayor of Rotherham, which took place in the camp at Skegness on Friday morning last, will cause a keen feeling of sorrow amongst thousands of volunteers.

In Yorkshire he was one of the mainstays of the volunteer movement, and at the Wimbledon meetings he was as much at home as at Rotherham.

He created the Yorkshire Rifle Association, and was, up to the time of his death, its honorary secretary and controlling genius.
