A Skegness Skipper
Mr Arthur Riches was the skipper of the ill-fated pleasure boat Princess of Wales, which capsized in a squall off Skegness last week.
When the craft foundered Riches alone retained his presence of mind, although he had at one time five struggling people clinging to him.
No less than nine persons owe their lives to his courage at a critical moment.
The boat has this week been found in about four fathoms of water.
She was valued at 200 shillings, and a movement is on foot to indemnify Riches for the loss he sustained.
