Public are Destroying Newly-laid Grass Verges

Grass Verges Laid

Preservation of the Turf

Grass verges and trees on Lumley Avenue Skegness

The Earl of Scarborough is showing every endeavour to improve the appearance of the streets and roads in Skegness.

Between the roads and the footpaths narrow strips of land have been preserved, and here turf has been laid and trees planted.

In the season when the trees are in full foliage and the turf green the view presented is very pretty and attractive.

In consequence, however, of the public having destroyed some portions of the turf by walking upon it, iron and wood protectors have been placed upon the same, and notices have also been issued to the effect that anyone removing them will be prosecuted.
