One of the oldest inhabitants of Skegness passed away on Saturday last at the ripe age of 79 years.
Mrs Senescall, who died at the house of her daughter, Mrs Forster, at the gas works, had resided in this town 47 years, and for many years carried on a flourishing business as general dealer in High Street, which, until the development scheme of Skegness commenced, was the only shop in the place.
The old lady was well-known and highly respected, and her decease has severed another link connecting the present with the past.
Her remains were interred in St Clement’s churchyard on Wednesday last.
