Loss of a Schooner With All Hands

The schooner Beatitude of Middlesbrough, Lawrence, from London for Boston (maize), was totally lost on Sunday off Skegness.

The crew was all lost.

The body of the captain’s wife has been washed ashore.

The lifeboat put off, but before reaching her she struck on the Knock, capsized, and sank.
