Bomb Found on Mablethorpe Beach

David Lascelles found a bomb whilst metal detecting over the claybeds of Mablethorpe beach on March 21st, 1991.

The Royal Navy was alerted, and a team was sent from Portsmouth to remove the bomb. The picture below shows the Royal Navy preparing the bomb for transportation, along with two other specimens.
