Crimean War Russian Gun Scrapped for War Effort

ONE of the two Russian guns which have stood on Bargate Green, Boston, Lincolnshire, since 1857, being removed to aid the nation’s scrap metal campaign.

They were two of the largest Russian guns captured by British troops during the Crimean War at the Siege of Sevastopol.
