If you fall ill over the Diamond Jubilee weekend would you know where to go for NHS treatment?
During times of celebration, unexpected or urgent healthcare needs can cause uncertainty but people in Lincolnshire can call NHS 111 at any time.
Caller’s symptoms will be assessed before they are directed to the most appropriate health service.
People with non life threatening health needs will not be treated faster by visiting A&E – A&E stands for Accident and Emergency, not Anything and Everything.
Dr Martin McShane, Director of Commissioning and Development for NHS Lincolnshire said:
“We want people to enjoy the spring bank holiday and Diamond Jubilee weekend and be reassured that NHS services are available when GP practices are closed. The GP out of hours service, local minor injuries units and Lincoln’s walk-in centre will continue to provide care for patients. Your local pharmacy can help treat most common illnesses and injuries, check your for any changes to opening times. Same day assessments for urgent dental problems are available at seven NHS dental practices within the county over the weekend too. Just call NHS 111”
The Diamond Jubilee weekend falls on Saturday 2nd June – Tuesday 5th June 2012.
