Although this article covers the actual Seacroft Golf Links Extension, I am particularly interested in the last couple of sentences:
‘Another company has also been formed for the erection of a new hotel, to be built at the Skegness end of the new golf links, or about 200 yards south of the Vine Pullover.
Plans for this are nearly ready, and it is intended to proceed with the building simultaneously with the formation of the links.’
The new hotel, I’m presuming, was what is now the Crown Hotel on Shardeloes Road. Skegness. (See Crown/Links Hotel Mystery)
