HARROD’S AND DUTTON’S SHORTHAND.
The famous firm of Harrod’s Ltd., has been built up by virtue, of the Directors being ever on the look-out for that which is most up-to-date.
Mr. Reginald J. G. Dutton (pictured), the author of Dutton’s Shorthand, has been given welcome evidence of their business acumen, last week receiving an intimation that the firm was ready to test his statements as to the rapidity with which his system could be acquired.
A teacher from the London branch of Dutton’s Business College therefore commenced a daily visitation of a period of four hours to the famous Stores at Knightsbridge, on Monday last. Twenty-five members of the staff are taking the course which will extend over five weeks. The class will be tested at the end of that period and if it proves satisfactory the system will be adopted exclusively in place of the Pitman System, which has been taught up to the present time.
